Ronald McDonald Basketball Tournament

The Maine McDonald's® Owner/Operators Association awarded the 2009 Maine McDonald’s® Spirit of the Game Award to Patrick Thibodeau of Greely High School and Josh Titus of Edward Little High School.

The recipients of the 2009 Maine All-State Academic Scholarship are Michael LaChance of Maranacook High School and Sarah Porter of Presque Isle High School. Each were each selected to receive the  $1,000 scholarship award. 

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) presented its prestigious Bob Brown Contributor Award to former Cony High School Girls Coach Paul Vachon. The award was presented at the 2009 Maine McDonald’s® High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games banquet at Husson University in Bangor. Each year, the All-Star Games committee selects an honoree who has made a significant contribution to the sport of basketball in Maine.

The 2009 Mister and Miss Basketball Award were presented on March 13th at Maine Association of Basketball Coaches Awards Dinner. Morgan Frame of Waterville High School High School received the Miss Basketball award.  Mr. Basketball honors went to Thomas Knight of Dirigo High School.
